Barbara Schroeder is a multimedia artist living and working in Bordeaux, France. Her work explores the metamorphosis of the living within all forms of life; plant, animal, human, creating paintings, drawings, sculptures, and prints that intertwine the ideas of interconnectedness.

 

For this lithograph, rather than starting with a freshly grained stone, Barbara drew inspiration from an existing image on the stone, erasing some marks then adding her own imagery over top, blending her ideas of metamorphosis and adaptation to create something new and in her own voice.
